Breaking for removal of mesh-reinforced concrete pavement is typically done at a 12-inch, 18-inch or 24-inch minus size. Contractors choose the size based on whether and how the broken concrete will be crushed, whether the broken concrete will be placed in a fill, and the type of equipment to be used to remove and haul the broken concrete.
