City Requires MHB Badger Breaker® for Urban Concrete Breaking

The city of Eau Claire, Wisconsin has begun specifying the use of the MHB Badger BreakerŪ for concrete breaking on urban reconstruction projects. By limiting the drop height of the hammers to 12 inches, the MHB is able to adequately break the concrete for the removal contractor without causing damage to underground utilities and adjacent buildings. Antigo has successfully completed several projects in Eau Claire and over 1,000,000 square yards of urban removal breaking in cities and towns across the country since the introduction of the MHB in 1996.

The Eau Claire specification reads as follows:

Concrete Pavement Removal Methods

Concrete pavement shall be rubblized using a MHB Badger Breaker or other approved rubblizing equipment. The maximum drop height of the breaker hammers permitted is 12 inches.
