Huge Illinois Rubblization Project Completed Early
Antigo Construction completed 263,000 square yards (37 lane miles) of concrete rubblization in only 14 days on I-70 in Clark County, Illinois. The joint venture of Howell Asphalt Company and Champaign Asphalt Company paved 550,000 tons of asphalt. The eastbound lanes were reopened 26 days ahead of schedule and the westbound lanes were reopened 43 days ahead of schedule on September 8, 2003.
