Break for Removal: Little Rock Air Force Base, AR

This airfield runway reconstruction project was unique in that Little Rock AFB is the largest C-130 training base in the world. Antigo operated 8600 and T8600 Badger Breakers® to break for removal 213,000 square yards of 12″ to 19” thick concrete on Runway 07-35 during 37 concrete breaker shifts across 5 phases between December, 2020, and June, 2022.  The concrete pavement was broken by striking the concrete on 6″ centers.

This project is one example of Antigo’s ability to break thick concrete pavements efficiently and effectively allowing contractors to meet aggressive schedules.
