Videos Rubblization Controlled-Access Highways

Rubblization of 8″ thick, continuously reinforced, concrete pavement in preparation for a new asphalt overlay on I-43 in Walworth County, WI, performed by Antigo Construction using a MHB Badger Breaker®, Z-pattern grid roller, pneumatic-tire roller and a vibratory smooth drum roller in 2012. The previous asphalt overlay had reached the end of its service life due to severe reflection cracking. Traffic was maintained in adjacent lane as rubblization and asphalt overlay were performed in one lane at a time.
